Randomized Stepped Frequency Radars Exploiting Block Sparsity of Extended Targets: A Theoretical Analysis

نویسندگان

چکیده

Randomized stepped frequency radar (RSFR) is very attractive for tasks under complex electromagnetic environment. Due to the synthetic high range resolution in RSFRs, a target usually occupies series of cells and called an extended target. To reconstruct range-Doppler information RSFR, previous studies based on sparse recovery mainly exploit sparsity scene but do not adequately address extended-target characteristics, which exist many practical applications. Block sparsity, combines extension, better characterizes priori knowledge wideband RSFR. This paper RSFR reconstruction problem using block recovery. Particularly, we theoretically analyze coherence spectral norm observation matrix build bound parameters radar, exact guaranteed. Both simulation field-experiment results demonstrate superiority over conventional RSFRs.

detection of moving targets in stepped-frequency radars using dcft

one of the most common signals used for achieving high range resolution in radar is stepped-frequency signals. when a target is stationary in these radars, dft (discrete fourier transform) based processing is used to attain high range resolution profile (hrrp). however, in the case of moving target, due to spreading of the echo signal spectrum, dft based processing is not optimal and decreases ...

Multi-pitch estimation exploiting block sparsity

We study the problem of estimating the fundamental frequencies of a signal containing multiple harmonically related sinusoidal components using a novel block sparse signal representation. An efficient algorithm for solving the resulting optimization problem is devised exploiting a novel variable step-size alternating direction method of multipliers (ADMM). The resulting algorithm has guaranteed...

Exploiting Sparsity in Polyhedral Analysis

The intrinsic cost of polyhedra has lead to research on more tractable sub-classes of linear inequalities. Rather than committing to the precision of such a sub-class, this paper presents a projection algorithm that works directly on any sparse system of inequalities and which sacrifices precision only when necessary. The algorithm is based on a novel combination of the Fourier-Motzkin algorith...

moving target detection in stepped frequency radars using compressive sensing

stepped frequency radars attract many attentions due to their high range resolution. conventional processing technique in these radars is based on the idft. in detecting moving targets, the idft has the problems of range shifting and range spreading, which result in degrading target amplitude, loss of range accuracy and range resolution. to overcome these problems, the velocity compensation met...

Estimation of backscattered echoes from underwater targets using block sparsity

In this work, we introduce a block sparse reconstruction technique to estimate backscattered echoes from underwater targets. The backscattered field of a spherical shell or the broadside scattering of a cylindrical shell contains a specular reflection as well as some elastic leaky surface waves, while the elastic parts appear as a periodic signal, which may be modeled using a block pattern. Thu...
